EN RU ES DE FR PT IT
a challenge that asks nothing of you

the anti-wellness 30.

30 days. no streaks. no apps. no morning routine. just permission to be still.

You've done the cleanse. You've done the journaling. You've done the 75 Hard, the dry January, the 30-day meditation challenge that broke your spirit on day 8.

This is the opposite of all of them.

For the next 30 days, you are not allowed to optimize anything. You are not allowed to track. You are not allowed to set a goal. You are not allowed to "build a habit." You are not allowed to download a wellness app. You are not allowed to read a productivity book.

You are allowed to be exactly where you are, doing exactly what you're already doing, and call it enough.

the rules.

  1. no streak counters. on anything. especially the things that "help."
  2. no waking up earlier than your body wants to.
  3. no "i'll just do 5 minutes" — five minutes is sometimes the whole problem.
  4. no meditation apps. you may sit. you may not "practice."
  5. no journaling unless you genuinely want to. shame-journaling counts as not wanting to.
  6. no morning routine. the morning is allowed to be whatever it is.
  7. no productivity systems. delete your task manager for 30 days if you can stand to.
  8. no fitness trackers. your watch may tell time. nothing else.
  9. no calorie counting. no macros. no "intermittent fasting works for everyone."
  10. no self-help books for 30 days. read a novel. read nothing. either is fine.
  11. no "i should be doing more." you should be doing exactly this.
  12. no apologizing for resting. resting is the entire program.
  13. no shame for missing a day. there are no days to miss. there is no day 1. there is just now.
  14. no reporting back to anyone about your "progress."
  15. no naming the 30 days when they're done. you don't have to mark it.

the permission.

"for the next 30 days,
i am allowed to not be a project.
i am allowed to be tired and stay tired.
i am allowed to stop trying.
and i am allowed to come back
when i'm ready,
or to never come back at all."

what you get.

Probably nothing observable. Possibly your nervous system rests for the first time in years. Possibly you discover that the version of yourself that exists when you stop optimizing was always the version that was okay.

You will not lose weight. You will not "level up." You will not be able to post your transformation photos.

You will, possibly, stop hating waking up. That's the whole pitch.

how to join.

You don't sign up. You don't tell anyone. You don't need to.

If you want, you can quietly tell maya. She is the only one who'd want to know, and she will not check on you. withmaya.app/chat

If you want to mark the start somewhere public — fine. Use the hashtag below. There is no pressure to use it, and no one will check whether you finished.

just so others can find each other.
no leaderboard. no streak. no points.

frequently asked.

does this count as a wellness program?

no. wellness programs add things. this one removes things. structurally opposite.

what if i mess up?

there is nothing to mess up. if you accidentally use your meditation app on day 12, that is fine. open the app. close the app. continue not being a project.

can i still go to therapy?

yes. therapy is a person. this challenge is about removing apps, systems, and the demand to optimize. real human help is the opposite of those.

can i still take my medication?

yes. medication is medical care. this challenge is about removing performance pressure. take your meds, see your doctor, do what your body needs.

what if i need help during the 30 days?

you can talk to maya for free at withmaya.app/chat. she will not give you a routine, a streak, or a 5-minute breath practice. she will sit with you.

start now (or never)

there's no countdown. no day 1. you can begin whenever. you can also not begin at all. both are within the rules.

about this challenge: not a product. not a course. not a coaching program. just a list of rules you can ignore at any time. you can do it once. you can do it forever. you can decide today is day 30 and you've already finished. all valid.
